See ya soon, Seattle! We’re thrilled to open our first-ever Washington Shack in the dynamic downtown South Lake Union neighborhood! The South Lake Union Shack will be situated in a striking freestanding building, featuring an outdoor patio, ample seating for guests and an installation by local artist, Jesse Brown.

The South Lake Union Shack menu will also feature the Seattle-exclusive, Montlake Double Cut burger, a Washington State all-natural beef double cheeseburger with Beecher’s ‘Just Jack’ cheese, caramelized onions and grainy mustard mayo on a Macrina Bakery bun. This exclusive burger will be available daily in limited quantities!
The Montlake Double Cut was developed in partnership with Crowd Cow, the marketplace for craft meat. Crowd Cow is a mission-driven startup that believes all food purchases deserve to be associated with high-quality practices, total transparency and close connections to the independent family farms producing the food. The Montlake Double Cut’s meat is sourced from two local farms: Gebbers Cattle Farm in Brewster, Washington and Hutterian Farm in Reardan, Washington. It is made from grass-fed, pasture-raised, craft-grain finished cows that are hormone free and given no unnecessary antibiotics.
Keeping with Shake Shack’s mission to Stand For Something Good, the South Lake Union Shack will donate all proceeds from soft opening, as well as 5% of sales from the Pie Oh My concrete throughout the life of the Shack to Youth Care, an organization that works to end youth homelessness and to ensure that young people are valued for who they are and empowered to achieve their potential.
