Teamwork makes the dream work!
Community has and always will be part of Shake Shack’s core. Our mission is to Stand For Something Good®, and every day we work towards improving the neighborhoods we call home.
Through our Shack Gives Back program, our Shack family regularly volunteers with local charitable organizations. We focus on supporting five main areas: hunger relief, arts and culture, education and family, environment, animal welfare and health. Team members from Shacks across the U.S. have been busy volunteering all spring, and some of the highlights are below!
The Christiana Shack boxed meals for seniors and made food for kids at the Food Bank of Delaware, a nonprofit that provides food education and advocacy. The Food Bank of Delaware is the official charity partner of the Christiana Shack, and 5% of all sales from the New Castle concrete support the organization’s mission.
The Garden State Plaza Shack painted faces and scooped custard at Touch-A-Truck for the Junior League of Bergen County, a event that allows children and their parents to view, climb on and touch trucks in a safe environment.
Team members from some of our Washington, D.C. and Virginia Shacks bagged backpack meals for kids at the Arlington Food Assistance Center, which provides groceries to Arlington neighbors in need.
The Hollywood Shack volunteered at Project Angel Food, an organization that cooks and delivers more than 10,000 meals a week to people who are too sick to cook and shop for themselves. The Hollywood Shack also supports Project Angel Food year-round by donating 5% of sales from its Sunset Grind concrete to help the organization nourish the Los Angeles community with freshly-cooked meals.
The Garden State Plaza Shack passed out custard for the Academy of Our Lady of Mount Caramel, an educational community that strives to educate while building a strong foundation of ethical and moral ideals.
Huge thanks to every team member who works to improve our communities each and every day!
