Created by Shake Shack culinary director Mark Rosati and inspired by the smoky flavors of bacon, the SmokeShack® is a cheeseburger topped with all-natural applewood Niman Ranch smoked bacon, chopped cherry peppers and ShackSauce.
Based in California, Niman Ranch is a network of more than 725 small family farmers raising meat for pork, beef and lamb throughout the U.S. The pork Shake Shack uses hails from small farms in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic. Shake Shack is proud to work with Niman Ranch because they Stand For Something Good® in the raising and processing of their pigs. The pigs are raised outdoors—not in crates—and are fed a 100% vegetarian diet free of hormones and antibiotics.
The care and processing of Niman Ranch pork makes for the crispy, juicy bacon on the SmokeShack and on one of our secret menu items: the Peanut Butter & Bacon Burger.
Though not an official menu item, guests who are feelin’ adventurous can order a bacon hamburger with a side of peanut butter and concoct the unique meal themselves!
