It’s about to get bonkers in Yonkers! Shake Shack’s setting up shop at the Cross County Shopping Center in a new retail space on the northern side of the property, facing the Cross County Parkway. The location, Shake Shack’s first in Westchester, opens its doors Friday, July 22nd at 11AM.
Shake Shack is a critically acclaimed, modern day “roadside” burger stand known for its 100% all-natural Angus beef burgers and flat-top Vienna beef dogs (no added hormones and no antibiotics ever), 100% all-natural cage-free chicken (no antibiotics ever), spun-fresh frozen custard, crinkle cut fries, craft beer and wine and more. A fun and lively community gathering place with widespread appeal, Shake Shack has earned a cult-like following around the world.
The Cross County Shack menu will feature a location-specific frozen custard concrete, Cross County Crunch (vanilla custard, salted caramel sauce, Mast Brothers Shake Shack dark chocolate chunks, chocolate toffee and malt powder). The Shack will also be spinning up two Shake Shack classics: The Great White Way (vanilla custard, marshmallow sauce and crispy crunchies) and Shack Attack (chocolate custard, fudge sauce, chocolate truffle cookie dough and Mast Brothers Shake Shack dark chocolate chunks, topped with chocolate sprinkles).
As part of Shake Shack’s mission to Stand For Something Good®, Shake Shack will donate five percent of sales from the Cross County Crunch concrete to Yonkers Partners In Education (YPIE), a nonprofit that works to increase the number of Yonkers Public School students who complete a post-secondary program that prepares them for a successful career.
Guests can quench their thirst with a selection of local craft beer from Yonkers Brewing Company, Bronx Pale Ale, Broken Bow Brewery and Southern Tier Brewing Company, in addition to the Shack-exclusive ShackMeister® Ale from Brooklyn Brewery. Wine lovers can sip on Shack Red® and Shack White® wine from Frog’s Leap Winery.
In keeping with Shake Shack’s commitment to thoughtful, well-crafted and responsible design, the Cross County Shack’s tabletops are made from reclaimed bowling alley lanes by CounterEvolution and chairs are designed by Uhuru using sustainable materials. Booths are crafted by Staach using lumber certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council. The Shack also features a spacious outdoor patio with picnic tables.
