Opening in buzzing Nanshan District, Shake Shack Mixc World is located within a major fashion and dining landmark. Inspired by the staggered layout of Mixc World, the Shack’s floating island design concept brings nature and technology together to create an organic environment while using all the resources of technology to bring comfort and ease to the Warm Community Gathering Place. A welcoming outdoor space invites guests to linger under ancient Banyan trees in a setting that brings to mind the original Madison Square Park location. The greenery links to the interior, which balances a natural palate of warm leather banquettes and green marble tiles with sleek finishes like green terrazzo and stainless steel for a modern balance. Local artist Yoyo Lee created a large-scale energetic collage art piece combining elements of New York and Shenzhen life using different colorful mediums including graffiti, stencils and stickers.
Shake Shack Mixc World has three exclusive menu items that reflect the culinary traditions and heritage of Shenzhen. The Fan’tastic Shenzhen shake is vanilla custard blended with guava, topped with passion fruit, mango, whipped cream and salted plum powder since Shenzhen is known for its excellent salt production and tropical fruits. The Mixc Pineapple concrete celebrates Shenzhen’s pineapple farming combining vanilla custard with chunks of pineapple, salted caramel, shortbread, candied ginger and toasted coconut. Last but not least, the red bean concrete, Be-an Idol, nods to classic Southern Chinese dessert flavors with vanilla custard blended with red bean, grass jelly, lychee and roasted peanut. We donate 5% of proceeds to from the Be-an Idol concrete to support local charity Shenzhen Dream Inspiration Foundation focused on providing artistic education for low-income and rural children.
All of the chocolate ingredients are made locally at Shenzhen’s infamous bakery Daily Bakery House and Shake Shack also partnered with E.T. Brewery to offer their local beer on tap.
