The Shack design is inspired by the Lotus flower, which symbolizes the everlasting prosperity of Macau. The curved ceiling line serves as the design focal point and the material palate includes light timber, simple stone, metal and marble tiles, emerald fabric, tan leather and sculptural pendant lights. Local artist Kun Lam created the in-Shack art using traditional Macau Portuguese Tile Azulejos updated with Shake Shack icons and street signs with key international locations including New York, London, Tokyo and Shanghai.
Macau’s city signature Ginger Crush Shake features vanilla custard blended with ginger juice, pineapple and mango puree, and topped with whipped cream and candied ginger, which was inspired by the traditional Chinese ginger milk pudding dessert. A riff on Macau’s Serradura Pudding, the Olá, Serradura is vanilla custard with tea cookies, toasted coconut and malt powder. We created the Queen of Tart to highlight the iconic Portuguese egg tarts Pastel de Nata, with vanilla custard and strawberry. The fan-favorite Shack Attack even received the casino treatment with gold-dusted cocoa nibs.
We donate 5% of sales from Olá, Serradura to Best Buddies Macao Association, which provides resources and leadership development for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
