Senior Manager IT - Store Systems
 
Sr. IT Manager for Store Systems is accountable for the engineering, implementation, operation, maintenance and support of store systems and equipment (e.g. Point of Sale (POS), back office) at company owned Shacks. This position is responsible for leading an internal team and managing 3rd party providers to ensure that Shack systems are designed, implemented and proactively maintained in accordance with Shack operational needs; as well as IT technology and compliance standards. This position ensures Shake Shack is realizing the maximum value from its restaurant technology platforms, and that store teams are provided with the information required (e.g. documentation) to efficiently and effectively operate their systems. This store systems team must have restaurant operations savvy and be the subject matter experts on Shack technologies including POS. This position is also accountable for the budget of systems and resources in this space.

  

Key Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for managing the implementation and configuration of POS and related technologies at new Shacks
  2. Responsible for operational availability of systems in stores through management of 3rd party partners, proactive monitoring, and timely incident recovery based on SLA.
  3. Ensure standardization and currency of software, hardware and documentation supporting the stores
  4. Mentor team members and ensure their technical and professional growth
  5. Identify and lead the implementation of new and enhanced POS features that will improve the guest experience or make Shack operations more efficient
  6. Develop and maintain good relationships and communication with Operations, Development and Store management teams

Skills & Knowledge

  • At least 6 years of technology expertise and leadership  
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent), graduate degree preferred
  • Strong IT strategic and tactical leadership in all areas of IT

Experience

  • Infrastructure, Network, POS systems, backend store systems, digital systems and experience in leading technology engineering and support teams
  • Experience with Aloha and Menulink preferred 
  • Managing service providers
  • Build, implementation and support experience
