Regional Marketing Manager - Southwest

The Regional Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting national and local marketing efforts on the Pacific Coast. They will be responsible for writing the local marketing strategy, executing it and working with the local operations team to optimize it throughout the year. This role is perfect for the person who has sales and marketing experience, enjoys being on the go, loves building relationships with those in the community, and has a knack for analytics and reporting. 

Position is based in Dallas, Austin or Houston, TX and travel to NYC and territories required. Territory includes: Texas, Arizona, & Colorado.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement a regional marketing plan for assigned markets that are an extension of and supports national initiatives
  • Develop and execute market-wide promotions and sales-driving programs
  • Measure, evaluate and provide reporting on regional and national marketing initiatives
  • Manage regional marketing budget
  • Maintain a regional calendar including and not limited to: events, activations, collaborations and promotions
  • Work closely with Shack General Managers and Area Directors on a day-to-day basis to educate team on regional and national marketing initiatives
  • Oversee Shake Shack’s brand entry into new and existing markets during pre-launch, openings and beyond
  • Build key relationships with local influencers, community partners and likeminded brands
  • Develop and share best practices and turnkey programming for marketing peers
  • Work with the national marketing team to support and execute on: press releases, PR placements, media requests, blog posts, social media content, website content and PR agency management as needed
  • Work cross functionally with operations, supply, development and finance
  • Report to Director of Brand Marketing

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of connections in the local market with a deep understanding of the community and what makes the market thrive
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent education and experience
  • Detail oriented with an eye for the big picture
  • Ability to view short- and long-term priorities and goals
  • Highly creative to develop programs and solutions for local restaurants
  • Genuine interest in the performance of the business to drive results
  • Ability to work well independently and remotely from team leader and peers
  • Superb verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership skills


  • 4-6 years of marketing experience
  • Experience managing a budget, track costs and process invoices
