What’s shakin’ Troy?! Shake Shack® is thrilled to announce it will open its doors on Wednesday, October 25th at 11AM. Located at 850 West Big Beaver Road, The Troy Shack will neighbor The Somerset Collection, the premier shopping, dining and residential development and one of the top shopping malls in the country. The Troy Shack marks Shake Shack’s second Detroit-area location, joining the Downtown Detroit Shack which opened earlier this year.

Shake Shack is a critically acclaimed, modern day “roadside” burger stand known for its 100% all-natural, antibiotic-free Angus beef burgers, cage-free chicken sandwiches, griddled flat-top dogs, fresh-made frozen custard, crispy crinkle-cut fries, craft beer and wine and more. A fun and lively community gathering place with widespread appeal, Shake Shack has earned a cult-like following around the world.

In addition to the Shack classics, The Troy Shack will be spinning up a selection of local frozen custard concretes: S’more (chocolate custard, marshmallow sauce, graham crackers and chocolate truffle cookie dough), Concrete of Troy (vanilla custard, salted caramel sauce, Zingerman’s Buenos Aires dulce de leche brownie and chocolate sprinkles) and Pie Oh My (vanilla custard and slice of Sister Pie seasonal pie).

What’s sweeter? The first 75 people in line at 11am on opening day will receive a FREE Concrete of Troy.

Guests can wash their burgers down with local brews from Odd Side Ales, Shorts Brewing Company and Griffin Claw Brewing Company plus Shake Shack’s exclusive Brooklyn Brewery ShackMeister® Ale. Wine lovers can enjoy a glass of Shack RedTM and Shack WhiteTM wine from Napa-based Frog’s Leap Winery.

As part of Shake Shack’s mission to Stand For Something Good®, The Troy Shack will donate 5% of sales from its Pie Oh My concrete to Gleaners Community Food Bank, a non-profit that provides local households in need with access to sufficient, nutritious food.

In keeping with Shake Shack’s commitment to green architecture and eco-friendly construction, The Troy Shack’s tabletops will be made by CounterEvolution using reclaimed bowling alley lanes; chairs will be designed by Uhuru using sustainable materials; and booths will be crafted by Staach using lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.

The Shack will open with the Shack App, allowing guests to order Shake Shack exactly when they want it, right from their phone. With the Shack App, guests can select their food, choose an available pickup time and it will be cooked-to-order and timed to their arrival.
