Shake Shack was awarded GFAWA’s flagship award since 2007, the Good Egg Award, which celebrates companies that use or have committed to use cage-free eggs or egg products. We also received a Good Sow Commendation for meeting the welfare criteria for sows!
Shake Shack has always sourced incredible ingredients from like-minded ranchers, famers, bakers and purveyors, but we took a huge leap towards animal welfare in 2016 by converting all products that contain eggs to use only cage-free eggs. To further our commitment to good ingredients, we use 100% all-natural beef with no hormones and no antibiotics in our burgers and flat-top dogs, and our Chick’n Shack is 100% all-natural cage-free chicken. Our crinkle-cut fries contain zero artificial ingredients, and our frozen custard uses only real sugar–no corn syrup.
