We’re feeling lucky in Kentucky! Shake Shack is proud to announce that it will open its first-ever Kentucky location on Thursday, May 11th at 11AM at the Summit at Fritz Farm, the finely curated mixed-use destination celebrating the rich heritage of Lexington, KY. The Lexington Shack will be located at 115 Summit at Fritz Farm, Suite 100.
The one-level freestanding Shack will anchor “The Green,” a communal outdoor area designed by Kentucky native and award-winning garden designer, Jon Carloftis. The Shack also features an expansive patio, where guests can kick back with a ShackBurger and hand-spun shake.
Shake Shack is a critically acclaimed, modern day “roadside” burger stand known for its 100% all-natural, antibiotic-free Angus beef burgers, chicken (no hormones added ever), griddled flat-top dogs, fresh-made frozen custard, crispy crinkle cut fries, beer, wine and more. A fun and lively community gathering place with widespread appeal, Shake Shack has earned a cult-like following around the world.
“The Summit at Fritz Farm is shaping up to be a dynamic community gathering place – it’s the perfect setting for Shake Shack” said Randy Garutti, Shake Shack CEO. “We’re thrilled to build a new home in Kentucky and we’re excited to start growing our community in Lexington.”
In addition to the Shack classics, the Lexington Shack will be spinning up a selection of local frozen custard concretes: Coffee and Donuts (vanilla custard, North Lime Coffee & Donuts glazed donut and coffee marshmallow sauce), Shack Attack (chocolate custard, fudge sauce, chocolate truffle cookie dough and Mast Brothers dark chocolate chunks, topped with chocolate sprinkles) and Pie Oh My (vanilla custard and slice of Pig & Pepper seasonal pie).
Guests can wash their burgers down with local brews from Country Boy Brewing, Kentucky Ale and Rhinegeist, in addition to Shake Shack’s exclusive Brooklyn Brewery ShackMeister® Ale. Wine lovers can enjoy a glass of Shack RedTM and Shack WhiteTM wine from Napa-based Frog’s Leap Winery.
As part of Shake Shack’s mission to Stand For Something Good, the Lexington Shack will donate 5% of sales from its Pie Oh My concrete to the Lexington Humane Society, a non-profit dedicated to the protection and care of all animals.
In keeping with Shack Shack’s commitment to green architecture and eco-friendly construction, the Lexington Shack’s tabletops will be made by CounterEvolution using reclaimed bowling alley lanes; chairs will be designed by Uhuru using sustainable materials; and booths will be crafted by Staach using lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
