Four Score! The Fourth Long Island Shack is Set to Open in Melville

Mar 24, 2017

We’re in it for the Long Island haul! Shake Shack is thrilled to announce that the Melville Shack will open its doors at 11AM on Thursday, March 30th at 849 Walt Whitman Road, just down the road from the Walt Whitman Shops® and steps from West Hills County Park.

The Melville Shack is the fourth Shack on Long Island, joining the New Hyde Park, Westbury and recently-opened Lake Grove locations.

Shake Shack is a critically acclaimed, modern day “roadside” burger stand known for its 100% all-natural, antibiotic-free Angus beef burgers, chicken (no hormones added ever), griddled flat-top dogs, fresh-made frozen custard, crispy crinkle cut fries, beer, wine and more. A fun and lively community gathering place with widespread appeal, Shake Shack has earned a cult-like following around the world.

The Melville Shack will open with the Shack App, allowing guests to order Shake Shack when they want it and right from their iPhone. With the Shack App, guests can select their food, choose an available pickup time and it will be cooked-to-order and timed to their arrival.

In addition to the Shack classics, the Melville Shack will be spinning up a selection of local frozen custard concretes: Crunch-stellation (vanilla custard, malt powder, Valrhona Crunchy Chocolate Pearls and chocolate toffee), Chocolate Caramel Pretzel Crunch (chocolate custard, salted caramel sauce, dark chocolate pretzels and fudge sauce) and Pie Oh My (vanilla custard and a slice of Four & Twenty Blackbirds seasonal pie).

In addition to our exclusive Brooklyn Brewery ShackMeister® Ale, guests can pair their ShackBurgers with local brews from Blue Point Brewing Company, Port Jeff Brewing Company, Greenport Harbor Brewing and Great South Bay Brewery. Wine lovers can enjoy a glass of Shack RedTM and Shack WhiteTM wine from Napabased Frogs Leap Winery.

As part of Shake Shack’s mission to Stand For Something Good®, 5% of sales from the Pie Oh My concrete support Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center, providing the most advanced levels of clinical care in meeting the needs of children. The New Hyde Park, Westbury and Melville Shacks also partner with CCMC, and teams from all four Shacks will volunteer and fundraise for the center throughout the year.

In keeping with Shack Shack’s commitment to green architecture and eco-friendly construction, the Melville Shack’s tabletops are made by CounterEvolution using reclaimed bowling alley lanes; chairs are designed by Uhuru using sustainable materials; booths are crafted by Staach using lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.four shake shack burgers with two platters of fries on a tray
