Spice Up Your Stumptown! How To Make a Shake Shack Affogato

Mar 22, 2017

Coffee makes the Shack go round! Since December 2015, Stumptown Coffee RoastersCold Brew has been a staple at Shake Shack.

What began as a single cafe in Portland in 1999 has grown to a multiple-location chain with cafes in select major U.S. cities. Stumptown prides itself on sourcing direct trade beans, which means they buy beans from the people who grow them instead of buying in bulk. Stumptown’s support of local purveyors aligns with our mission to Stand For Something Good®, and we’re proud to work with like-minded vendors.

Brewed without heat for over 12 hours, Stumptown’s Cold Brew is a smooth and full-bodied brew that complements a Shack meal perfectly (especially our breakfast items!). To make it even sweeter, pair it with a scoop of our vanilla frozen custard to turn it into a delicious, creamy affogato!

We’ll be releasing the recipe for our signature frozen custard when our debut cookbook, “Shake Shack: Recipes & Stories,” hits the shelves on May 16th. Snag a free ShackBurger and signed copy when you pre-order the book before its official release!
