Let’s roll. Shake Shack is thrilled to announce a two-part collab with Chef Daniel Humm of NoMad, griddling at select Los Angeles Shacks and the NoMad Truck from Friday, March 3rd through Sunday, March 5th.
The Humm Burger ($8.99), last served at our Decade of Shack celebrations in 2014, is a gruyère cheeseburger topped with applewood smoked bacon, celery relish, Bibb lettuce & truffle mayo. Snag the first taste of the Humm Burger at the West Hollywood Shack on Friday, March 3rd at 11AM and come back for more at the Hollywood Shack on Saturday, March 4th at 11AM. The Humm Burger is available exclusively inside the Shacks and will not be served from the NoMad Truck.
The Patty Shack ($10), our take on NoMad’s famous chicken burger, is a black truffle chicken burger with cave-aged Jasper Hill Farm cheddar & gruyère cheese, onion, leek and ShackSauce. The Patty Shack will be served exclusively from the NoMad Truck at the following locations and times:
West Hollywood Shake Shack: Friday, March 3rd from 11AM-3PM
– The NoMad Truck will be parked either directly next to the West Hollywood Shack on West Knoll Dr or across the street on California State Route 2 (CA-2). Stay tuned on Twitter for the exact location day-of!
Hollywood Shake Shack: Saturday, March 4th from 11AM-3PM
– The NoMad Truck will be parked directly in front of the Hollywood Shack on Hollywood Boulevard.
Smorgasburg LA: Sunday, March 5th from 10AM-4PM
– As they are every Sunday, the NoMad Truck will be parked within the five-acre site of the weekday Alameda Produce Market in Downtown Los Angeles.
Want to try ‘em both? We recommend bringing along a friend (or two!) to order separately and meet back up.
Gearing up for the Fall 2017 opening of NoMad in Downtown LA, the NoMad Truck has been hitting the streets of LA since October 2016. The truck has been winding its way throughout Los Angeles servin’ up Humm Dogs, Chicken Burgers, Milk & Honey Soft Serve and more.
Each month, NoMad has been collaborating with its favorite LA chefs and friends for fresh takes on its chicken burger. The truck’s LA tour kicked off at The Line Hotel with Chef Roy Choi of Kogi, followed by our burger buds, Chefs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo of Animal. We’re honored to be in such good company!
“The original Shake Shack is 345 feet away from Eleven Madison Park—hard to miss when we walked through Madison Square Park to The NoMad,” said Restaurateur Will Guidara and Chef Daniel Humm. “And in the 11 years that we’ve worked here, we (and everyone on our team) have crushed our fair share of ShackBurgers. It’s become our security blanket of sorts… So being out in LA, so far away from home, we’ve started to really miss having it in our lives, hence this beautiful collaboration. We are so excited to bring back The Humm Burger for one more ride. And to introduce the highly anticipated, and soon to be sorely missed, Patty Shack!”
“We’re so pumped to be working with the NoMad crew again,” said Shake Shack Culinary Director Mark Rosati. “Will Guidara and Chef Daniel Humm have been great friends to us since the beginning. Constantly innovating with concepts like the NoMad Truck, they’ve created a roaming platform for chefs to take something that’s already great like their chicken burger, and put a fresh and different spin on it. We can’t wait to see what they do next!”
Even better? A portion of proceeds will benefit Chrysalis, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless and low-income individuals.
Both collabs will be served until supplies last on a first-come, first-served basis.
Let’s ride, LA!
