Good 'N' Green

Jan 27, 2017

Rule the school! Shake Shack is heading to Morningside Heights in late 2017. The Shack will be located at 2957 Broadway on the corner of Broadway & W. 116th St., steps away from Barnard College and Columbia University.

The Morningside Heights Shack will offer all the Shake Shack classics, from delicious 100% all-natural Angus beef burgers and cage-free chicken to crinkle-cut fries and spun-fresh frozen custard. Plus, there will be frozen custard concretes featuring local food purveyors.

The Shack will open with the Shack App, allowing guests to order Shake Shack when they want it and right from their phone. With the Shack App, guests can pick their food, choose an available pickup time and it will be cooked-to-order and timed to their arrival.

As part of Shake Shack’s mission to Stand For Something Good®, the Morningside Heights Shack will donate 5% of sales from one its frozen custard concretes to The Fresh Air Fund, a nonprofit that provides free summer experiences to New York City children from low-income communities.

In keeping with Shack Shack’s commitment to green architecture and eco-friendly construction, the Morningside Heights Shack’s tabletops will be made by CounterEvolution using reclaimed bowling alley lanes; chairs will be designed by Uhuru using sustainable materials; booths will be crafted by Staach using lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council; and walls will be clad with reclaimed redwood from NYC water towers.
