Get ready to shake up your commute! Shake Shack is on track to open on the Lower Concourse at Penn Station on Saturday, December 3rd at 7AM. The Penn Station Shack will serve breakfast daily from 7AM–10:30AM and Shack classics daily from 10:30AM–11PM.
Shake Shack is a critically acclaimed, modern day “roadside” burger stand known for its 100% all-natural, antibiotic-free Angus beef burgers, chicken (no hormones added ever), flat-top dogs, frozen custard, crinkle cut fries, beer and wine (available at select locations) and more. A fun and lively community gathering place with widespread appeal, Shake Shack has earned a cult-like following around the world.
“There are few places that capture the hustle and bustle of New York City like Penn Station,” said Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti. “We’ll be there to fuel our fans just passing through, commuting or attending an event at the Garden—day and night!”
In addition to the Shack classics, the Penn Station Shack will serve breakfast daily from 7AM–10:30AM, starting opening day. The menu will feature Shack’s three breakfast varieties: Sausage, Egg N’ Cheese ($4.79), Bacon, Egg N’ Cheese ($4.79) and Egg N’ Cheese ($3.79). All three sandwiches consist of griddled-fresh cage-free eggs, served with American cheese on a toasted potato bun. The sausage breakfast sandwich is topped with all-natural Shack pork sausage, and the bacon variety includes all-natural Niman Ranch applewood smoked bacon.
Rounding out breakfast at the Penn Station Shack is a selection of coffees and teas. Get a wake up call with Shack drip coffee ($2.29 for 12 oz., $2.79 for 16 oz.), an exclusive Stumptown Shack blend, organic and sourced direct trade from farms in Central & South America and Indonesia. Keep your commute chill and fuel up with Stumptown cold brew–steeped and cold pressed Stumptown iced coffee, brewed and bottled in Brooklyn ($4.79 for 10.5 oz. bottle)–or Stumptown cold brew with milk, sweetened with natural cane sugar ($4.79 for 16 oz. carton). Tea fans can enjoy a cup of organic and fair trade hot breakfast tea ($2 for 12 oz.).
For cold refreshments, the Shack will be serving fresh squeezed orange juice with organic oranges ($4.25 for 12 oz.) and Organic Apple Juice by Honest Kids Appley Ever After ($1.95 for 6.75 oz.).
As part of Shake Shack’s mission to Stand For Something Good®, Shake Shack will donate 5 cents from every cup of Shack drip coffee to The Fresh Air Fund, a nonprofit that provides free summer experiences to New York City children from low-income communities.
Commuters can grab a local craft beer from The Bronx Brewery, Brooklyn Brewery and Sixpoint Brewery for the ride home, or kick back at the Shack and enjoy a glass of Shack-exclusive ShackMeister® Ale from Brooklyn Brewery. Wine lovers can also sip on Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir wine from Union Wine Company.
In keeping with Shake Shack’s commitment to thoughtful, well-crafted and responsible design, tabletops are made from reclaimed bowling alley lanes by CounterEvolution and chairs are designed by Uhuru using sustainable materials. Booths are crafted by Staach using lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and walls are clad with reclaimed redwood from NYC water towers. The Penn Station Shack also features a Mondaine Official Railways wall clock and a hand-painted mural of Penn Station by New York artist Josh Cochran.
