Cluck yeah! Shake Shack Culinary Director Mark Rosati has teamed up with celebrated LA chefs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo to create the Son of a Gun Chick’n Shack ($6.49), a crispy chicken breast with spicy B&B pickle slaw and rooster aioli.
The limited edition Son of a Gun Chick’n Shack, a reimagination of Son of a Gun’s best-selling fried chicken sandwich, will be available at the original Madison Square Park Shake Shack for one day only on Friday, October 28th, while supplies last.
“We’re so pumped to be hosting our friends, Jon and Vinny, for one amazing day at our Madison Square Park flagship Shack,” said Mark Rosati, Culinary Director at Shake Shack. “In January 2016, before we opened our first Shack in Los Angeles, Jon, Vinny and their incredible team hosted us at their restaurant, Son of a Gun, for a pop up event to give the community a chance to try Shake Shack. Now we get to flip the script and bring a one of their classic dishes, slightly reimagined, to NYC!”
Served on a pillowy potato roll, Son of a Gun Chick’n Shack is cage-free chicken breast—no hormones or antibiotics ever—slow-cooked in a creamy buttermilk marinade, hand-dipped into Shack-made batter and dredged through seasoned flour.
Jon & Vinny add, “We have always loved Shake Shack! We were so happy to host them at Son of a Gun before they opened their first LA location and couldn’t be more excited to now be featuring a take on our top selling fried chicken sandwich at the Shake Shack flagship in NYC.”
