How sweet it is. The goal of the 5th Annual Great American Shake Sale was to raise $500,000 for Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry® campaign in the fight against childhood hunger in the U.S.

Drumroll, please… we’re thrilled to announce this year’s record-breaking donation of $597,465!

Shake Shack® teams across the country, together with our amazing guests, raised almost $600,000 for No Kid Hungry. That’s nearly 6 million healthy meals for children in need!

Thanks to the generosity of our guests, the Great American Shake Sale has raised over $1.7 million for No Kid Hungry since its inception in 2012.

Did ya know? The Great American Shack Sale has gone global! A huge shout-out to our international Shack teams and guests for their amazing efforts on the 3^rd Annual Great British Shake Sale benefiting Action Against Hunger (£17,004 raised); the 2^nd Annual Great Russian Shake Sale benefitting Food Bank RUS (341,700 RUB raised); and the first ever Great Japanese Shake Sale benefitting the combined efforts of Hitachi Kikin and Red Cross (¥2,010,600 raised).

For some added context, the Great British Shake Sale supported 400+ life-saving meals for severely malnourished children in the UK; the Great Japanese Shake Sale supported funding for four different school programs that provide care for children in earthquake-stricken areas; and the Great Russian Shake Sale supported 100+ food baskets for families in need throughout Moscow.
