Road Trip! Shake Shack to Open In Detroit In 2017

May 23, 2016

All roads lead to Shack. Shake Shack’s opening its first Michigan location in downtown Detroit, in the First National Building (660 Woodward) at the base of the city’s central gathering place, Campus Martius Park.

Originally built in 1922, the iconic First National Building has undergone tremendous restoration in recent years. In addition to Shake Shack, other retailers include Central Kitchen + Bar and Roasting Plant along with signature office tenants such as Honigman and Title Source.

Shake Shack Detroit will be located within walking distance to the Greektown Entertainment District, the JACK Detroit Casino Hotel Greektown, the Woodward Avenue shopping district, Detroit’s sports stadiums and the art-filled alley “The Belt.”

In addition to the Shack classics, the menu will feature location-specific frozen custard concretes. Guests will be able to hang out on the patio overlooking the park and sip on a selection of hand-picked wine and local craft beer.
