Shack Has Sprung! Shake Shack Ebisu Atre West To Open Doors Friday, April 15th

Apr 5, 2016

ShackBurgers blossom in Ebisu! Shake Shack® is thrilled to announce it will open its second Tokyo location on Friday, April 15th at 10AM on the ground floor of Ebisu Atre West steps from the Ebisu train station adjacent to the Atre shopping center.

Shake Shack is a critically acclaimed, modern day “roadside” burger stand known for its 100% all-natural, antibiotic-free Angus beef burgers (no added hormones), griddled flat-top dogs, fresh-made frozen custard, crispy crinkle cut fries and more. A fun and lively community gathering place with widespread appeal, Shake Shack has earned a cult-like following around the world.

“The reception and response among our fans in Tokyo has been beyond our wildest dreams since opening our first Shack inside Meiji-Jingu Gaien Park just months ago”, said Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti. “Today we couldn’t be more excited to build our community gathering place in the thriving neighborhood of Ebisu.”

The Ebisu Shack will feature all of the Shake Shack classics including the ShackBurger®, SmokeShack® and Shack-cago Dog®. Guests can kick back with a selection of hand-picked wine and local beer from Ishikawa Brewery and Kiuchi Brewery in addition to the Shack-exclusive ShackMeister Ale® from Brooklyn Brewery and Shack Red® and Shack White® wine from Napa-based Frog’s Leap Winery. For those seeking a non-alcoholic beverage, the menu will feature seasonal Shack-made lemonade, bottled root beer from Abita Brewing Co. and more.

Shake Shack’s frozen custard–dense, rich and creamy ice cream spun fresh daily–will be featured in shakes and concretes (frozen custard blended at high speed with mix-ins). The Ebisu Shack will offer three exclusive concretes with mix-ins derived from local partners: Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunchcrete (chocolate custard, peanut butter sauce, Valrhona chocolate chunks and chocolate toffee), E-bean-su (vanilla custard, red bean caramel sauce, marshmallow sauce, salted shortbread cookie and dusted soy bean powder), The Third Man’s Concrete (chocolate and vanilla custard, marshmallow sauce, milk chocolate popcorn brownies from our friends at Dominique Ansel Bakery and chocolate sprinkles). That’s not all, the Ebisu Shack will be spinning up the Tokyo exclusive Black Sesame Shake. Sweet!

As part of Shake Shack’s mission to Stand For Something Good®, the Ebisu team has partnered with local community NPO Green Bird (whose mission is to keep the community clean and green) to donate 5% of sales from the E-bean-su concrete. This partnership will provide opportunities for the Shack team members to volunteer and participate in community driven initiatives.

The Ebisu Shack will feature inspiring design and forward-thinking architecture including walls clad in reclaimed snow fence and local Japanese cedar wood as well as handcrafted tabletops from reclaimed Brooklyn bowling alley lanes. The exterior reveals a striking geometric art piece, inspired by classic Shack colors, which captures the high energy of the Ebisu neighborhood.
