The tap may have run dry but Coffee Stout is the beer that keeps on giving! Coffee Stout, our Philly-exclusive collaboration with Yards Brewing Company and La Colombe Coffee Roasters, was pouring at all three Philadelphia Shacks (Center City, University City and King of Prussia), La Colombe’s Fishtown café and Yards’ Northern Liberties tasting room until recently. Guests enjoyed the dark ale solo, paired with a burger or as a beer float with a scoop of vanilla frozen custard.
In keeping with all three partners’ dedication to supporting the local community, $2 from each pint of Coffee Stout sold went to the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program. Mural Arts, the Center City Shack’s official charitable partner, is a grassroots organization dedicated to creating artwork that transforms public spaces and individual lives. A custom Mural Arts piece by local artist David Guinn graces the rooftop wall of the Shack.
Making a total donation of $3,600, La Colombe contributed $400, Shake Shack $1,200 and Yards $2,000. A huge thank you to all of our guests who came out to support their local arts community with a cold pint. Cheers to that!
