Q: What is a ShackBurger®?
A: 4 oz. burger made from our proprietary blend of premium beef, ground fresh daily and hand-formed. It is topped with American cheese, green leaf lettuce, plum tomato and ShackSauce on a grilled potato bun.
Q: What is a Shack-cago Dog®?
A: It’s our tribute to a classic Chicago-style hot dog. A Vienna all-beef dog on a poppy seed bun dragged through the garden with mustard, Rick’s Picks™ Shake Shack relish, onion, cucumber, pickle, tomato, sport pepper and, of course, celery salt!
Q: What are your vegetarian options?
A: Our ’Shroom Burger is a Portobello mushroom cap stuffed with muenster and cheddar cheese, deep fried golden brown. We serve it up just as a Shack Burger®—with lettuce, tomato and ShackSauce. We also offer a Garden Dog piling on all the veggie toppings of a Shack-cago—but without the dog! And don’t forget cheese fries!
Q: How do you make such crunchy fries?
A: Our French fries are made from Yukon Gold potatoes and are 100% free of artificial trans fats. They’re also 25% less fat than most fries. So, go ahead, crunch away!
Q: What is Frozen Custard?
A: We like to say Frozen Custard is what happens when soft serve shacks up with premium ice cream. Our frozen custard is made in a real custard machine – which spins the custards at ridiculous speeds, into a dense, soft, intensely rich consistency.
Q: What is a concrete?
A: A concrete starts with three scoops of Frozen Custard blended at high speed with any of our Shack-made mix-ins. Order one of our specialties or make your own!
Q: What should I drink with my Shack food?
A: We take our beverages seriously. The Shack team has created our own ShackMeister® Ale with Brooklyn Brewery and it’s a killer! If you prefer a glass of wine, we have collaborated with Frog's Leap to create our own special blends that really know how to get down with a ShackBurger. There are also other choices if these don’t spin your custard.
Q: Where's your food from?
A: The Shack uses high quality ingredients from the freshest sources, in season, whenever possible. We make all our own custard flavors, sauces, ’Shroom Burgers, lemonade and most of our mix-ins. Our beef is ground fresh and hand formed daily right here in New York City!
Q: How green is that Shack?
A: We buy 100% of our electricity through sustainable wind power. We recycle our grease into biodiesel. We raise money through our green retail sales for projects like planting trees. When we build a new Shack, we use as many sustainable materials as possible. It’s a start!
