We’re grateful and proud of the employees at Shake Shack that help us cultivate an inclusive, educational working environment. As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, we want to introduce the Shack community to members of ALIADOS, our Hispanic Employee Resource Group that works to provide a network for Hispanic and Latinx team members at Shake Shack.
ALIADOS, which stands for Amplifying Latinx/Hispanic Inclusion by Development, Opportunities & Support, aims to understand, examine, and resolve the current gaps that can hinder Hispanic employees from their highest potential.
The ERG consists of several committees, each in charge of a key initiative—Recruiting + Retention, Community Engagement, and Educational Outreach. They meet several times throughout the year and have expanded their membership three times over in the last two years. The group also regularly organizes food drops for Hispanic-led professional events all over the country.

ALIADOS is celebrating Hispanic Heritage month in a few ways, including hosting an online Trivia event about Hispanic culture, creating a Hispanic-led Spotify playlist to play throughout Shack locations in the U.S., and hosting a Hispanic literature book club meeting.
They also hosted the FUEGO BURGER CHAT, where our Home Office members met and heard from two of Shake Shack’s suppliers—Vienna Beef and NotCo—who operate on a wide-scale across the US and Latin America.
Lastly, ALIADOS will be hosting Donation Days on Saturday, October 14 at select Shacks in partnership with HISPA. Proceeds will benefit HISPA, a volunteer organization dedicated to Hispanic mentorship.
